AstroArbacia 2019

Hemos tenido la oportunidad de asistir a una de las Starparty más representativas de España. Se trata de AstroArbacia, esta reunión se celebra cada año en la provincia de Ciudad Real, muy cerca del municipio de Navas de Estena.

Llevábamos preparando la ocasión alrededor de dos meses con el fin de disfrutar de la compañía de otros astrónomos amateur y del cielo de esta zona de España. Sin duda la afluencia de personal fue muy alta y el ambiente de cordialidad notable. 

We had the opportunity to attend one of the most representative Starparty in Spain. This is AstroArbacia, this meeting is held every year in the province of Ciudad Real, very close to the municipality of Navas de Estena. We had been preparing the occasion for around two months in order to enjoy the company of other amateur astronomers and the sky of this area of ​​Spain. No doubt the influx of staff was very high and the atmosphere of cordiality remarkable.

 

Al llegar solo tuvimos que darnos de alta en el camping que acoge este acontecimiento (Camping Lincetur). Tenían preparados dos zonas para colocar los equipos (Visual y Astrofotografía). Nuestro grupo decidió instalase en la zona de astrofotografía, ya que teníamos intención de realizar tomas planetarias y de cielo profundo con los equipos disponibles.

Upon arrival we only had to register at the campsite that hosts this event (Camping Lincetur). They had prepared two zones to place the equipment (Visual and Astrophotography). Our group decided to settle in the astrophotography zone, since we had the intention to make planetary and deep sky shots with the available equipment.

La meteorología se había puesto de nuestra parte pero a medias… Disfrutamos de noches despejadas pero sufriendo una ola de calor que llego a alcanzar los 41ºC diurnos y noches que no descendían de los 27ºC. La verdad que la piscina del camping y el bar ayudaron a hacer más llevadero el calor diurno.

The weather had been on our side but half ... We enjoyed clear nights but suffering a heat wave that reached to 41 º C day and night that did not fall below 27 º C. The truth is that the campsite pool and the bar helped to make the daytime heat more bearable.

Pudimos disfrutas de dos noches libres de nubes pero por desgracia con un seeing terrible, fruto de las turbulencias creadas por el terreno sobrecalentado durante el día y capas de aire a distinta temperatura. La primera noche intentamos sin existo realizar videos planetarios y tomas de cielo profundo pero la mala estabilidad afecto a la calidad de las tomas planetarias y al guiado del tubo para cielo profundo. 

We enjoyed two nights free of clouds but unfortunately with a terrible seeing, the result of the turbulence created by the overheated terrain during the day and layers of air at different temperatures. The first night we tried without doing planetary videos and deep sky shots but the bad stability affected the quality of the planetary shots and the guidance of the tube for deep sky.

 

Fue nuestra compañera Mariaje la que consiguió obtener las mejores tomas. Cámara y trípode fue lo único que utilizo para fotografiar esta toma de gran campo donde se aprecia la vía láctea y el centro de la  misma en la región de Sagitario. Sin duda una vista diferente a la que tenemos desde el observatorio de la Cambra, donde por desgracia la dirección E esa contaminada por la ciudad de Valencia. En este caso disfrutamos de un E limpio hasta el horizonte.

It was our partner Mariaje who got the best shots. Camera and tripod was the only thing I use to photograph this shot of a large field where you can see the Milky Way and the center of it in the Sagittarius region. Undoubtedly a different view to that we have from the observatory of the Chamber, where unfortunately the direction E that contaminated by the city of Valencia. In this case we enjoy a clean E to the horizon.

Una experiencia muy recomendable para aquellos astrónomos amateur con ganas de aventura y también para aquellos que no disponen de equipo. Sin duda el buen sabor de boca nos pone ya las pilas para organizarse y asistir a la próxima Starparty en Soria (AstroTiermes). Un saludo y cielo despejados.

A highly recommended experience for those amateur astronomers with a desire for adventure and also for those who do not have equipment. Undoubtedly the good taste of the mouth already puts us the batteries to organize and attend the next Starparty in Soria (AstroTiermes). A greeting and clear sky.
